Wins prestigious ‘Firm of the Year’ title at World Textile Awards and brings glory to Sri Lankan apparel industry
Textured Jersey Lanka PLC (TJL) has emerged the overall victor at the World Textile Awards in London, by winning the topmost award across all categories and being bestowed the much sought after global title ‘Firm of The Year’.
Apart from the highest honour, Textured Jersey also won the World’s Top Spot in their respective category award as ‘Dyer & Finisher of the Year’.
Colombo ILO News: The International Labour Organization’s Office for Sri Lanka and the Maldives together with the Sri Lanka Apparel Exporters Association, conducted a one day training programme on workplace cooperation for Human Resources Managers and Compliance Managers in the apparel sector on the 6th of August in Colombo.
ILO Colombo News: On the 7th of May 2015, the Ministry of Labour in collaboration with International Labour Organisation (ILO) launched the roll out of the Labour Inspection System Application (LISA) to all districts in Sri Lanka. The LISA system supports on-site inspection processes where authorized personnel can track and monitor the status of the inspections as and when they occur. The system supports improved collection and analysis of labour market and inspection data through enhanced monitoring of the quantity and quality of information that is being gathered by the labour officers.
